Fixing [Cover is Open. Close the Fuser cover.] in Brother MFC-9130CW

My Brother MFC-9130CW started throwing an error 'Close the Fuser Cover' while the cover was in fact closed. Searching Brother forums suggested this may be caused by sensor and replacing one 'will cost as much as a printer itself'. Well, the sensor is RPI-579 (https://www.digikey.com/short/zn5fnz), a $1 phototransistor. Note that the same sensor controls the door closure and also controls how the paper is fed from the bottom paper tray into the receiver tray, so the bad sensor may lead to jams with paper having about 2/3 of the printed image. For the same reason, bypassing the sensor would clear the message, but would result in permanent jams. Replacing the sensor cleared the message and jams went away. Note: I've took the printer apart and then partially put it back together to shoot the video. You will have to unsnap the controller board (it is shown loose in my video) and unsolder the 4-pin sensor.
