Girl once again has released Pop-secret as an answer to the growing number of board companies offering reinforced boards with new technology; brands, such as Powell Peralta and Santa Cruz, have recently presented upgraded decks with fibreglass layers. The graphic is simple, with one shape available; we skated and tested the Andrew Brophy pro model. Pop secret, however, uses a fibreglass sheet only on the top, with the remaining ply being made out traditional maple; as you'll see, this design is slightly heavier and thicker than it's competitors, but makes up for this with great shape, and springy pop. After skating this deck, Levi noted that the fibreglass top ply kept the top of the board intact, preventing the board from splintering at the ends.
