One year after: What did I learn by starting an art channel on Youtube?

Hi everyone! It’s been one year now since I have started my youtube channel… To celebrate this birthday with you, I decided to “recreate” one of my first Youtube videos, that I did end of March last year. In this video, I talked a little bit about my journey as a part-time, self-taught artist and how I ended up on Youtube, all of this while painting Hogwarts. This year, I will recreate this watercolor painting, and talk about what I have learnt after one year on Youtube, and what are my goals for the coming year. The format of the video will be a little bit different compared to the last couple of videos. I decided to do a voiceover, and to fit the voiceover on the video, I went for a timelapse of the painting, instead of real-time clips. All in all, the painting took me quite a long time, especially the inking part. Adding the fineliners took me 1:15 hours! And the whole painting took me more than 2 hours to complete. I have tried to compressed it, but it is still longer than my usual videos these days… Hope you enjoy it anyway! I've added chapters to help you go to the part that interest you :) 00:00 - 01:54 Introduction 01:54 - 10:06 Retrospective on my first year as an art Youtuber - outline (voiceover) 10:06 - 15:45 First wash 15:45 - 24:27 Goals on Youtube for the coming year - fineliners (voiceover) 24:27 - 26:20 Second layer of colors 26:20 - 27:33 Wrapping-up Here is the Youtube video where I originally painted Hogwarts:    • My JOURNEY as an ART-HOBBYIST & paint...   Both paintings are based on a reference picture I found on Unsplash, from Jules Marvin Eguilos. They were both made on the same paper, with the same watercolors. And here are two blogposts related to what I’m talking about in this video: - https://jodabblesinart.blogspot.com/2... about my Youtube channel - https://jodabblesinart.blogspot.com/2... about the 100-day challenge that I want to tackle starting this month!
