Video: A busy evening rush hour spotting trains at Bristol Parkway station situated on the South Wales Main Line, this spot features many GWR services to/from London Paddington, Swansea, Carmarthen, Gloucester, Frome, Filton Abbey Wood, Bristol Temple Meads, Penzance, Great Malvern, and Weymouth (as well as some ECS IET moves in/out of Stoke Gifford depot), XC services to/from Plymouth, Bristol Temple Meads, Edinburgh, Leeds, and Birmingham New Street. This was my last time seeing a Castle HST set on the peak Penzance to Gloucester service, as it was changed to IET operations at the May 2023 timetable change (with occasional HST subs, due to poor availability). Due to problems with the OHLE Wales-bound between Swindon and Bristol Parkway that day, IETs can be seen arriving in on diesel and switching to back to electric for the last stretch of electrification up to Cardiff (excluding the second IET). TRAINS INCLUDED: CrossCountry Class 43 HST & Class 220 Voyagers & Class 221 Super Voyager, and Great Western Railway (GWR) Class 158 Express Sprinters & Class 165 / 166 Networker Turbos & Class 255 Castle HST & Class 800 / 802 IETs. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thank You For Watching!
