Out on the road with "The Guthrie Family Rides Again" tour, we were asked to record "Deportees" for Mary's Memorial service, November 9th, Monday night. Abe and I mixed and edited the song last night. We were at it until four this morning. We sent it off and Jacquie said, "It made her cry." I thought I would share this on You Tube! It's so very moving, and even though it's not inherently a "tearjerker" it brings the kinds of tears to the eyes that ennoble the struggle, as well as Mary's life. Your having done this for her, Arlo, our friend, means more than I can say. Love goes out to you in so many, many ways. In this time when in as sense "the bottom line" is being shared, your own voice will touch the hearts of those attending. Please thank your family as well for us. We're grateful in full measure.
