Beautiful Fold Pleated Puff Sleeve Baby Frock Cutting and Stitching | Box Pleated baby Frock Design Hello Friends, Welcome to [ Savita DIY ]’s DIY Crafts! In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to create an adorable fold pleated puff sleeve baby frock. This project is perfect for beginners and is sure to make your little one look like a fashion star. Grab your sewing supplies, and let’s get started! Materials You’ll Need: • Fabric of your choice (cotton or satin works well) • Matching thread • Scissors • Measuring tape • Pins • Sewing machine (or you can hand-sew if preferred) • Buttons or snaps for closure • Iron and ironing board Step 1: Measurements and Cutting: 1. Measure your baby’s chest, waist, and desired frock length. 2. Cut the fabric according to these measurements, leaving extra for seam allowances. 3. Cut out two identical front and back pieces for the bodice. Step 2: Bodice Assembly: 4. Place the front and back bodice pieces right sides together. 5. Stitch the shoulder seams and side seams, leaving armholes open. 6. Hem the bottom edge of the bodice. Step 3: Puff Sleeve Preparation: 7. Cut two rectangles for the sleeves. The width depends on your desired puffiness, and the length should match your baby’s arm measurement plus seam allowance. 8. Hem one edge of each sleeve rectangle. 9. Create gathers along the other edge by sewing two rows of basting stitches and gently pulling the threads to gather the fabric. Step 4: Attaching the Sleeves: 10. Pin the gathered edge of the sleeves to the armholes of the bodice. 11. Stitch in place, distributing the gathers evenly. Step 5: Creating Folds and Pleats: 12. Mark equal intervals on the top edge of the bodice (above the sleeves) where you want to create pleats. 13. Create small pleats, folding the fabric towards the center and pinning them in place. 14. Stitch across the pleats to secure them. Step 6: Back Closure: 15. Add buttons or snaps to the back of the bodice for closure. Step 7: Finishing Touches: 16. Iron the frock to smooth out any wrinkles. 17. Try it on your baby and make any necessary adjustments. 18. Embellish with lace, ribbons, or other decorations if desired. Step 8: Final Thoughts: Congratulations, you’ve just created a beautiful fold pleated puff sleeve baby frock! Your little one will look adorable in this handmade outfit.
