Fixer Upper New House | 45 Best Home Decorating Ideas | Beautiful Interior Details From My New House

Fixer Upper New House of Joanna Gaines This new Fixer Upper House is a one-of-a-kind residence where old-world Mediterranean charm meets modern sophistication. This 2,965-square-foot (per FPV) four-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bathroom features a spectacular indoor-outdoor layout, magazine-worthy interiors, and a downstairs junior ADU that has a separate entrance and is perfect for guests, in-laws, or as a private home office or supplementary rental unit. Its flexibility is endless. The entryway is light and airy, and with floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides, it’s also sneakily modern. As you step inside, you notice the vintage tobacco-hued oak floors, beamed ceilings, plaster-finished walls, and concentric curved archways that shepard your eyes in either direction from one end of the house to the other. Directly ahead of you lies the family room. It’s striking, and quite likely to become your new favorite room. It features a black marble fireplace, a hand-waxed wood fireplace surround, and dark olive paneled walls. It’s the perfect place to pool on the couch for a movie or to sip on a glass of whiskey at the end of the night. At the heart of the home is a brand-new kitchen. A massive 10-foot island anchors the space and is surrounded by herringbone floors, custom cabinetry, and quartz countertops. A restored skylight circa 1895 floods the space with natural light. Directly below it, three beams rescued from a pier built in the San Francisco Bay over 100 years ago suspend black and gold pendant lights. Perhaps the kitchen’s most unique feature is a one-of-a-kind pantry wall crafted out of restored steel and chicken wire glass elevator doors from the Hotel Petaluma from the 1920s. Home chefs will enjoy top-of-the-line appliances: a vented La Cornue range, a dual-zone wine fridge, and Gaggenau refrigerator and dishwasher. All of these elements work in concert to create a space that’s as functional as it is beautiful. The floor plan was designed for entertaining. The dining room has coved ceilings and offers convenient access to terraced herringbone brick and bluestone patios. It’s easy to imagine guests spilling out the French doors to enjoy the outdoor fireplace and water fountains. In the adjacent living room, a Ralph Lauren ring chandelier rises above a wood-burning fireplace and a massive arched window that frames a view of another water fountain, granite cobblestone walkways, and a 200-year-old handmade teak gate. Off the living room, a chic powder room with black wainscoting, a coffered ceiling and marble floors exemplify the detailed design and timeless style that is infused into every aspect of the home. The primary suite sits at the other end of the main floor. It features exposed beams, juliet balconies, a fireplace, and 270 degree views. Double doors open to reveal a spa-like en suite bathroom with a tumbled marble shower, twin vanities and a Restoration Hardware soaking tub that basks in natural light from sunrise to sunset from another vintage skylight above. The kid’s “wing” is accessed off the kitchen and contains the original two bedrooms and bathroom from when the house was built in 1928 — beautifully and timelessly updated.Far less sexy, but every bit as valuable, each and every system in the house is brand new. The HVAC system, plumbing, sewer lateral, electricity, roofing, windows — are all completely new from the ground up. This is one of the major factors that makes this fixer upper house such a unique opportunity. Functionally, it’s a brand-new home. Aesthetically, it's a timeless classic that feels vintage from one end to the other.
