Our first time on Minnesota’s North Shore: Grand Portage State Park & National Monument!

We have made it to our first NEW state of 2021: Minnesota! And what a GEM this state is! For our short time in the state, we decided to focus on one particular area, the North Shore, which is a 145 mile stretch of land along the shore of Lake Superior, the largest of the 5 Great Lakes. And for the first adventure of our North Shore road trip we drove up to the US/Canada Border to explore the Grand Portage area, including the state park, which is home to the highest falls in Minnesota, an incredible national monument nearby, and see some beautiful views. We also had a VERY exciting wildlife sighting, which was the cherry on top of a beautiful day!
