On the road to Ashton-under-Lyne. To visit The Tameside Stadium home of Curzon Ashton FC. Both of us unbeaten at the start of the season. That is till today, Curzon are still unbeaten after beating us 1-0. In a game where we had plenty of the ball but it was mainly from side to side and not much penetration into the box. My fear was they’d get the goal to take the lead and sit right behind the ball. That they did and did it well. Last 20 mins or so, the pitch had that much water on it, that it didn’t help either side. I say that, it helped Curzon as Scunthorpe couldn’t create the chances they needed to. Would have been sensible to take the players off the pitch and let it drain away a little. What do I know though 🤷🏻‍♂️ Take nothing away from Curzon though, they deserved the win and the pitch looked like a carpet. Yes its disappointing to lose, lets not get downhearted though, were 5 games in. Still a long wa to go. Luckily we have a chance to right some wrongs on Monday against Scarborough. Lets get behind them and keep believing 💪🏼 #UTI
