Our stay at Maroela Satellite Camp in the Kruger National Park was a delightful experience. After a short drive from Tamboti Tented Camp, we found ourselves in the picturesque campsite of Maroela, surrounded by large trees providing ample shade along the Timbavati River. The day was filled with exciting game viewing, including the thrill of spotting a tortoise for the first time on this trip through the Park, which made Sonia particularly happy. As always, we made sure the tortoise crossed the road safely before moving on. Witnessing playful lions in the riverbed and others of their pride at a nearby zebra kill added to the day's highlights. Although rain prevented us once again from having a braai, our evening was still splendid with a wonderful dinner, prepared in the communal kitchen.
