Hanbit Art began with the Hanbit Blind School and Hanbit Bras Ensemble in 2003 when the status of culture and art for people with disabilities was extremely minimal in Korea. But we reached the adulthood age of twenty thanks to so much support. Now we launched a new brand, "Darkness to Light," over "Music in the Dark," which we have been using since its foundation, feeling a new responsibility rather than pride now. We want to move forward to affect society and to break down the wall between disability and non-disability. Our ambition is to be called ‘BTS in the disabled art,’ promoting the excellence of Korean disabled culture and arts on the world stage.
