BEPSE CoP: Exploring Opportunities-Analyzing Youth and Women Employment for Economic Growth in Kenya

This webinar will showcase the practical utilization of the "Youth and Gender Analysis Toolkit: Tools for Economic Growth Activities," developed by USAID and YP2LE. Join us for an insightful webinar where we delve into Kenya's employment landscape, focusing specifically on youth and women. This webinar will showcase the practical utilization of the "Youth and Gender Analysis Toolkit: Tools for Economic Growth Activities," developed by USAID and YP2LE. In this session, we will focus on the labor and employment aspects outlined in the toolkit, utilizing its four key frameworks (Enabling Environment, Community Support, Equitable Relationships, and Agency and Assets) and offering tips on how to conduct a thorough analysis of youth, particularly young women, in Kenya. Through interactive discussions and visual aids, we will: Provide an overview of the "Youth and Gender Analysis Toolkit: Tools for Economic Growth Activities," Discuss the micro- and macroeconomic aspects of Kenya's economy, including Identification of fast growing employment sectors; Look at how microfinance helps to enhance opportunities for women and youth in the labor market, and Offer insights into measurement techniques. The following expert speakers will guide participants on identifying questions crucial for conducting an analysis on youth and women employment: Okola Veronica, founder of Finsmart Hub, which offers personalized investment strategies, financial planning, tax planning, business financial advisory, estate planning, risk management, and financial education. With a strong background in logistics and supply chain management, Okola has designed and implemented process improvements that streamlined activities, reduced costs, and increased performance and quality in her previous roles at National Bank of Kenya and Crestwood Marketing & Communications. Victor Nando Odongo, chairman and founder of Alpha and Omega CBO Kenya. Victor currently serves as Secretary General for Global Opportunity Youth Network representing Global Opportunity Youth Network Mombasa Kenya. He is also a member of Global Youth Power Hub (GYPH), championing youth friendly policies in Africa. He represented Kenya in the program which had more than 40 young people from Africa.
