ARROW24 – United Capabilities in the Battlefield

The simple goal of training together is to be able to operate united, as one, in the battlefield. The Armoured Brigade leads the Army mechanized exercise Arrow 24 at the Pohjankangas Firing Range and Training Area in Niinisalo from 26 April to 14 May. Approximately 2600 persons take part in the exercise, most of them conscripts and about 300 allies from the United Kingdom, Latvia and Estonia. The aim of the exercise is to strengthen mechanized troops’ cooperation and interoperability with allied troops, and enhance the ability to receive international assistance and provide host nation support. Panssariprikaati johtaa Maavoimien mekanisoidun Arrow24 harjoituksen Pohjankankaan ampuma ja harjoitusalueella Niinisalossa 26.4.-14.5. Harjoitukseen osallistuu noin 2600 henkilöä, joista suurin osa on varusmiehiä ja noin 300 liittolaisia Iso-Britanniasta, Latviasta ja Virosta. Harjoituksen tavoitteena on vahvistaa mekanisoitujen joukkojen yhteistoimintaa ja yhteensopivuutta liittolaisten kanssa sekä kehittää kykyä kansainvälisen avun vastaanottoon ja isäntämaatuen antamiseen.
