Hey everyone! Are you ready for a haunting? Because today we're dealing with ghosts. More specifically, we're dealing with the ghosts that helped write The Bedlam in Goliath, arguably the best album from The Mars Volta. If you don't know about it, go look up what went into recording this album as it's a freaking trip. The song in particular we're dealing with today is Goliath, a frantic seven minute tune full of odd time signatures, funky psychedelic solos, and the aforementioned ghosts. Now this is more an interpretation than note for note solo, because this isn't melodic death metal and we can have fun with the solos. That being said, I did try to keep in relative line with some of the solos, little homages to the actual riffs in the song. But for a few of these solos, caution may have been thrown to the wind.
