Both guitars are great guitars. But my heart still beats for my old Ibanez AS-50. I have been playing my Ibanez AS-50 (1980) for more than 15 years and I really love this guitar. But still, the older guitars can be harder to tune. They have their own quirks. And i also missed some more overtones! So I have been looking for the perfect guitar and thought let´s try the Ibanez JSM100-VT. Are you are beginning jazz guitarist? then I could only highly recommend the Ibanez AS93 Artcore. It´s not super expensive but still a very good guitar. It´s not too heavy and is easy to play. It's a real workhorse.
