Alkan exigió que ésta pieza se tocara exactamente a la velocidad indicada, la cuál era 120 blancas por minuto, según los lineamientos de Alkan, cualquier interpretación que exceda los 5 minutos con 3 segundos es inapropiadamente lenta.
