I've been playing around with cooking off 12v for a while now. Bare in mind that every setup, and every persons power needs are going to be totally different. This is not my normal style of camping, and my vehicle is not really set up for extended periods with such large power demands. My 12v setup supports running large power hungry devices, but to do that really requires moving every day or other day to recharge my battery bank - that is how I normally travel, and it works perfectly as designed. To stay stationary for longer periods really requires a larger battery bank and more solar, but that means more weight and bulk!
