Evergoods MPL22 vs GORUCK 18L bullet RAIN TEST!

The MPL22 had water seeping through the top front pocket material (not the zips) getting my airpods case wet. Concerned about its performance in heavier rain or longer rain exposure. 3. The GORUCK Bullet's robic material performed much better, however, had water seepage through the zips on the top quick access pocket. 4. Giving the win to the GORUCK bullet _______ I've been missing out on some rain tests under heavy rain during the winter but had a chance to throw these two popular bags out in the rain on a random day. I had just missed the heavy rain this day so I left these two bags out in the light rain for 15 minutes. The Evergoods MPL22 (420D HT Nylon outer shell); I'm a bit concerned. Everything was rather dry, but inside the top front quick access pocket was rather damp, you can see in the video my airpods actually got wet through the fabric. Feeling around inside that pocket I could tell water would have seeped through the fabric completely if I left the bag out in the rain for any longer or if it was in a downpour. The GORUCK bullet 2 compartment (420D ROBIC nylon outer shell); I feel it performed better than the MPL22, none of the pockets felt damp. However, some water got through the zipper of the top quick access pocket. In the video you can see a wet spot on my phone sized cardboard cutout. Overall I'd give this win to the GORUCK Bullet, it's robic material fared better in the rain than the HT nylon on the MPL22.
