We bought this ironer from the original owners son. When we went to see it, it had been stored in an un airconditioned house and the humidity had taken it's toll on the finish but thankfully not the unit. He told us the motor smoked when he turned it on so he lowered the price to nearly nothing. We bought it, brought it home and fixed the motor (stuck start switch) cleaned the gearbox and put in new oil, I made a new cloth cover and we re-finished it. Runs like new and I use it every week to press our shirts, jeans and heavy cotton sheets.
