24/12/2023 Brand new demonstrator on loan from the manufacturer themselves. Normally I’m not phased by things like this but with how local this is, the fact it only cost me £1 for a single and it was on my way to Luton Airport, I thought it might be worth a try. The results surprised me! Yes I did mean £1, not 2. In December only on Sundays only in Oxfordshire only, all singles were just £1 thanks to a County Council scheme. Too bad it’s already over, Christmas Eve was the last day! So this ride shows that just because it’s a 73 plate E400 with Voith gearbox, it doesn’t mean it’ll perform like the Stagecoach ones! This was quick to accelerate and topped 60mph!
