While things were looking bleak in America during the early 1970s, there was a bright spot on the horizon, the 200th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Rail operators across the country painted equipment in special liveries and paint schemes to mark the occasion. A special train called the American Freedom Train was also arranged to tour the country. In this video, we will take a look at special paint schemes from SEPTA and the Cotton Belt, as well as a look at the Freedom Train, all in HO scale and set to Stars and Stripes forever in a combination history and music video.
