Thank you g. gibsly for this request! This one's in Drop D, but like I said, the acoustic rhythm part can be played in standard or drop. It's hard to argue with the sheer power of this song. As much as I appreciate Shinola, especially since it's probably the only time we will ever get severe re-visitations to great older songs from Ween, part of me wishes that this tune wound up on The Mollusk. Of all the tracks from the Mollusk Sessions that didn't make it onto the album, this one would've fit the record perfectly. From the line "Did you see me come down on the sand and sea?" to the fact that every down beat sounds like a crack of thunder once the epic synth and guitars kick in, everything works together to create the mental imagery of a dark, foreboding and murky oceanic atmosphere. In fact, the perspective from which the lyrics are sung seems to suggest, to me, anyway, some sort of deity presiding over said sea. Almost like an ominous twist on the Ocean Man lyrical concept.
