Bakerloo line Old "VERA" Announcements

When the 1972 tube stock was refurbished in the 1990s for the Bakerloo line, new automatic announcements were installed, going by the name of VERA. These were in use between 1991 and 2001, voiced by an unknown narrator, speculating to be Charlotte Green. They were replaced by Emma Clarke after passengers deemed to be too creepy or patronising. VERA was also used on the C69/77 Stock for the Circle, Hammersmith & City and District lines. Few clear recordings exist of the VERA announcements, so the samples you hear come from a RailUK Forums thread, uploaded by the user ‘Stadler’, as well as a YouTube clip from Richard Wexler’s “London Underground 1998” video.
