My Revell 1:144 Saturn V Rocket Build

Hello again!! Here is my build of Revell's 1:144 scale Saturn V Rocket. As much as I love Revell kits, I think that this one, as with their Ghost Pirate Ship, should have been discontinued a while ago. Compared to releases now (even their own recent releases) this kit is showing it's age, and to say the fit is horrendous is an understatement. The kit is covered in flash, which for any modeller shouldn't be that much of a problem to deal with, however the instructions can be vague at times, but the main issue are the diabolical seams and the step you have to deal with, especially on the main body of the first and second stages. This will test both your skills with a sanding stick and your patience!! The main docking ring holding the first and second stages together was so tight I had to spend a good 40 minutes working on it to get it to fit into place. Having said that, you can get a decent representation out of this kit, but it makes you work for it. Anyone coming along thinking it's just gluing together a couple of tubes and slapping on some paint will be in for a shock, for a kit with only 82 parts, there is a hell of a lot of work you have to put into it. At first I thought the skill level 4 on the box was a bit high, but after completing it, I can definitely see why, this isn't one for beginners. I'd seriously think at looking for a different manufacturers version of this if you want a Saturn V for your collection, but if you like a challenge then this is the kit for you.
