🇪🇸 La serie 251 de Renfe es una serie de locomotoras eléctricas de fabricación japonesa planificadas por Renfe en la década de los años 1970. La Serie 251 debía de ser apta para trenes de viajeros y mercancías por líneas electrificadas a 3 kV; debían tener una potencia superior a 4500 kW para transportar trenes de viajeros a una velocidad de 160 km/h; y debían contar con 6 ejes para remolcar trenes de más de 1000 t en rampas de 20 milésimas para evitar el patinaje de las ruedas. La serie 251 entregada entre los años 1982 y 1984 constó de 30 unidades. Todas ellas traían un equipo de control chopper, una tecnología novedosa para la época. Las locomotoras 251 tienen 3 bogies monomotores y birreductores de dos ejes (B'B'B'). Esta serie ha sido utilizada para transportar mercancías desde que se comenzaron y aunque también transportaron algunos trenes de pasajeros pesados. En este vídeo representamos un tren postal traccionado por una locomotora eléctrica serie 251, apodadas "japonesa y media" en la librea de origen conocida como “NUEVA IMAGEN” llevando una composición de furgones estafeta para el transporte de correo no urgente de los tipos DGCT P2, DGCT-3000 y DGCT-3100, reforzando el servicio con vagones tipo JJPD, JPPD y un furgón serie D11-11400. Podríamos datar esta escena en finales de los años 80. En esta época los nuevos colores de RENFE llenaron de alegría y diversidad las estaciones de España.
