Linn Isobariks play Dire Straits 'Where Do You Think You're Going?' [Krystal/Linn Isobarik speakers]

The Isobarik was Linn's flagship speaker from launch in 1973 until the Keltik was introduced in 1991, although production didn't cease until 1992. Linn stated that, 'Each speaker has two of each drive unit fitted – i.e. two bass, two mid and two treble. The second bass unit is hidden inside the cabinet, behind the visible bass unit and this forms the basis for our patented Isobarik equal-pressure bass system. This means that the front speaker behaves as if it is in a much bigger enclosure.' The pair in this clip are a later version with external passive crossover fitted in the stands. I bought this one-owner pair from WYSAH for £1,800, complete with original boxes but missing grills. 1992-spec Sondek plus Linn Krystal MC cartridge - built by Colin Macey at What You See and Hear. Lingo serviced by Darran Harden at Class A. NAC 12 and bolt down NAP 160 serviced by Naim.
