I did a comparison of base destructions in War Thunder between the following secondary choices onboard the A4B Skyhawk in War Thunder Air Realistic battles: the 18x 250 lbs, the 9x 500 lbs, and the 5x 1000 lbs. My analysis shows that the 18x 250 lbs bombs should be your primary choice to advance the A4B research. Choose this option and then begin researching the engine, airframe, etc. There is not a better secondary choice. The 2000 lbs bomb choices will not destroy a base. None of the rockets are good choices. The Secondary machine gun pods are an extreme drag and only benefit ground target destruction. Only the 7x Napalm choice will take out a base, but then you get zero TNT points. The overall impression is that the A4B is at a severe disadvantage starting on the ground and routinely competing against 9.3+ jets.
