Diamond tipped micro-groove pickup for vinyl micro-groove 78' records, hand made by Expert Gramophones ( E.M.G ) of 55 Rathbone Place, London, just off Oxford Street in the west end. Features a tiny moving coil which gives outstanding tonal reproduction while reducing record wear to the absolute minimum Part of the Expert range made around 1953 The tiny output of the EXPERT moving coil requires a step-up transformer to play a record & is here shown being used with an English made, Marconi transformer of a similar era. This works well with the Expert pickup arm & made this recording possible.
