To commemorate the recent exhibition ‘Pierre Soulages: A Century,’ Lévy Gorvy commissioned an original piece by composer Anthony Vine inspired by the ephemeral nature of artist’s paintings. The composition “For Pierre Soulages” was performed by The Rhythm Method string quartet, and according to Vine, “presents a monolithic plane of tones—a sonic monochrome of sorts—that subtly flickers and reflects off the surfaces and bodies in the space.” 'Pierre Soulages: A Century' was on view September 5 - October 26, 2010
