Oh My Gulay is a must visit pioneer Vegetarian Restaurant and Art Cafe in Baguio City, located along the bustling Session Road. It is owned and operated by Indie Film Director Kidlat Tahimik and has been delighting diners with their fresh organic vegetable dishes and tranquil and instagrammable dining space with a view for more than a decade. There is no bright enticing signage, so if you are just passing by at the street level you will hardly notice the 1970’s era building it is housed in, we learned about this restaurant many years ago through word of mouth. Take note there is no elevator so you will have to ascend 5 floors of a wide but antique staircase until reaching the penthouse. You will be aptly rewarded once you reach the top as OMG is not just any run of the mill vegetarian restaurant, it is a lush tropical garden with high ceiliengs, a wooden bridge and koi pond, art gallery, performance stage, Moorish styled restrooms, and Bi-level igorot inspired dining area with a balcony overlooking Burnham park and SM City Baguio. This restaurant only accepts cash so budget around PHP 300 per head. From their creatively named dishes on their menu we would highly recommend their Caesar Asar, Tandang Sora Parmigiana and Anak ng Putanesca Pasta. For refreshments, fresh lemonade and Benguet Coffee. Unfortunately they ran out of their raved about Mange Crepes on this visit.
