The redevelopment project aims to transform the Hudson's site into a vibrant mixed-use development that includes residential apartments, office space, retail shops, public spaces, and a hotel. The centerpiece of the project is a proposed skyscraper that would be one of the tallest buildings in Detroit. The construction of the Hudson’s Site Development latest updates: Full Height: The new skyscraper at the Hudson’s site has officially reached its full height, standing as the second tallest building in Detroit at over 681 feet. Completion Date: The development is expected to be completed by December 31, 20241, with the possibility of time extensions if necessary. Components: The project comprises two new side-by-side buildings: a 49-story skyscraper and a wider 11- or 12-story "office block". Features: The skyscraper is anticipated to house a 210-room ultra-luxury Edition Hotel and about 97 condominiums and apartments. Model Units: A sales office for the condos and apartments is being prepared across from the project at 1225 Woodward, expected to be ready in time for the NFL draft on April 25-27. This development is transforming the downtown Detroit landscape, enhancing the city’s skyline, and marking a new chapter in the area’s history. It stands on the former site of the J.L.
