Welcome to the Minnesota Zoo, like I did with the Phoenix Zoo, we’ll begin our tours of Minnesota by meeting the local species in the Minnesota Trail. An attraction that opened with the zoo in 1978 but was reimagined over the course of a year and reopened in 2007. The new design embraced a North Woods feel. Highlights of our trek through the Minnesota woods include Beavers, Gray Wolves, Wolverines, and Mountain Lions.
