Artwork by Take Me Back Pirate Radio Archives. In 1997, DJ Admiral had a slot on Rinse FM 91.8 playing garage with DJ A Plus, DJ Caspa and DJ Slimzee alongside MC Paco and MC Mega. This was in the lead up to DJ Admiral joining forces with DJ Pukka P and DJ Fuzz Buzz to form the collective "London's Unique 3". They went on to play regular sets on Pure Magic FM 90.2 in the late 90s. MC Paco would regularly come to host their shows. London's Unique 3 were known for their garage music productions, releasing tracks in the late 90s and the early 2000s. They had their own label `"Unique 3" (Label Code: LC 6034 / LC 06034) and released tracks like "Feel It", "Jealousy", "Silver Shadow", "It's A Struggle" and "Flavar" between 1999 and 2002. At this moment in time Pure Magic FM 90.2 was one of London's most popular pirate radio stations. It was running events like Suss and Obsessions with likes of The Supreme Team (DJ Swirly, MC Preshus & MC Starky) MC Tek, MC Kie, MC Treble, MC Combo, MC Base, MC Checkers, MC Kappa, MC Splash (Melody - Master Steps), DJ Styles, DJ LJ (DJ Influence) & DJ Majesty, DJ Bigga, DJ Terror G, DJ Rob Randall, DJ Para & DJ Reaper (The DEA Project), DJ Rojay (Bubbling Crew), DJ Caspa and MC Mega (Sun City), plus many more. The year 1998, was a pivotal year for UK Garage. It was growing mass appeal, it was no longer a small scene or second fiddle to Jungle raves. It was now taking the London and the UK by storm. With the commercial UK chart success of tracks like: The Don - 187 Lockdown, Destiny - Dem 2, The Energy (Feel the Vibe) - Astro Trax, Friendly Pressure - Jhelisa, Good Rhymes - Da Click, High Noon - Serious Danger, Kung-Fu - 187 Lockdown, Long Time Coming - Bump & Flex, Love Bug - Ramsey & Fen, Need Good Love - Tuff Jam, "Right Before My Eyes" N'n'G featuring Kallaghan, R U Sleeping - Indo, Sincere - MJ Cole, Spend The Night - Danny J Lewis, Straight From The Heart - Doolally, Teardrops - Lovestation, and, Tears - Underground Solution feat. Colour Girl.
