Driving the Harz Mountains, Germany

Driving through the Harz Mountains in Germany. I first learned about the Harz Mountains from another YouTube video (   • MOST POPULAR ROAD in the HARZ MOUNTAI...  ). Coincidentally, I was somewhat nearby (just a 5 hour detour :-)) a few days later and had a day to spare. The trip was a bit of a gamble given the weather situation, but it remained dry, and I was rewarded with beautiful autumn colors and a red sunset at the end of the day! I planned a route to drive as much as possible, zig-zagging the area from Blankenburg to Nordhausen, back up north to Timmenrode, and lastly back south to Roßla. All previous videos were recorded with GoPro's default settings. I was never really happy with the colors, always found them a bit oversaturated and under-/overexposed in difficult lighting situations. During this period of bad weather and the coronavirus, I planned to learn about camera settings and video editing, and used this trip to test. It turns out to be quite difficult to record and edit everything properly.
