I Tow with this 2024 Chevy 2500 HD 6.6L New duramax diesel engine, the second gen L5P as a heavy duty mechanic. Next up was the highway acceleration and this new Duramax Diesel was pretty quick beating the 6.7L cummins up to speed. the Powerstroke however was quicker and well that ford powerstroke is a very fast truck. when it comes to the exhaust braking the previous L5P duramax engine was pretty weak in my opinion but this updated exhaust brake seems to be performing very very well. I was happily surprised with how well it worked. and it was much better then the powerstroke in my opinion. when it comes to pulling big hill with a loaded trailer this is where the Duramax diesel shined. this engine was probably the best i terms of maintaing speed and pulling loads up the hills on my towing course. I was very very impressed with this Duramax engine. Let me know what you guys think!
