In this video I want to check fuel consumption of my swapped OM606 into my 1991 LWB G Wagon. Engine is built with mechanical injection pump from my old OM603. Pump has 7.7 milimiter elements and is set to 120 cc max fuel and 55 cc low. Engine is connected with 6 speed manual BMW GS6-37DZ gearbox. I also have Holset HX 35 turbo. 6th gear has 0.83 ratio There is 1.05 reduction road gear in transfer case And 4.375 gears in axles So I have ~2400 rev/min when driving 100 km/h Tires are 315/75R16 Yokohama Geolandar G012 AT set to 2.6 bars for this test. I keep overlanding tempo, so no faster than 110 km/h, take it easy, no crazy accelerations, no keeping behind trucks, just normal trip to make honest test. Before I start I fill up full and drive 590 kilimeters in a loop. After all day of driving I come back to the same petrol station to fill up diesel full again. I refilled 73 liters, so for 590 km give 12,37 liters per 100 km (19 MPG) and that is pretty much impresive/unbelivable.
