Hey guys--here is a tip: the double-ended bag is for actual punching. Ok, I'm being sarcastic, but there are so many vids of guys just tapping the bag for no reason. If you can't get your punches around on the double-ended bag, how are you going to pull them off in a fight? The secret again is mechanics and your feet Drop into your jab, turn your knee to get that heel out on your straight and sink onto the ball of your foot. (If you are having trouble, lift your big toe like you would when putting out a cigarette). Not that you should be smoking or anything. Otherwise, have fun with it. The double-ended bag is the most important bag out there--if you actually hit it. Also, I'm using Fairtex BGV9s, 16 oz. gloves. They are crisp enough to use on the double-ended bag, as some other gloves can be a bit too soft. But also--those are big gloves and I'm still getting around on the bag. I'm closing in on 60. If an old geezer like me can do it, you can do it too.
