First we look at why larger organisms such as insects require a specialised gas exchange system. We then explore the structure of the insect gas exchange system, including the tracheae, tracheoles and spiracles. Finally, we look at how some insects have evolved mechanisms to increase the rate of gas exchange. This video is aimed at the UK A Level Biology specifications.
