Here's a cover of probably one of the most iconic VGM's out there; Link to the Past's Dark World theme! This theme makes for an AMAZING metal cover. The original has a super rock / metal vibe as it is utilizing the horn section and pounding percussion throughout the piece. It has melodies that work super well on guitar much like a Mega Man piece. However what makes this special is that it's from Zelda and rarely do you get to make a headbanging jam from this series! I wanted to make this just absolutely roll from start to finish, going into it like composing a metal song and really drawing out that main rhythmic motif. I stayed pretty true to the melodies while really going off the wall with the rhythms; with the goal being to maintain the nostalgia while still having it end up being a rad metal track. I had such a blast making this and I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it!
