This is a common repair job that never seems to get any easier. The worst part of this job is removing the heat shields from the exhaust manifolds. Audi does offer a special tool kit that makes this repair possible without removing the manifolds. That tool part number is VAS6825. We will certainly be purchasing one for our shop. This is a costly repair due to the labor time involved. This repair is necessary to clean/de-carbon the air passage ports within the cylinder heads. These air passages are a part of the Emissions related Secondary Air system. If you own an Audi with this engine, budget for this repair if you have not already. Thank you all for watching our video.
