Talk Description: Join Al Cornell, writer & retired Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Wildlife Technician, for a presentation on his new book, A Year At A Beaver Pond, where he spent over 400 hours observing and photographing a tenth acre beaver pond about eight miles from KVR. Among his many observations, here, he identified sixty-one species of birds, watched wood ducks chase a mink. Twice! And learned how beavers, a keystone species, build a valuable ecosystem for themselves & other species. Presenter: Al Cornell has a degree in natural resource management and is a retired Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Wildlife Technician. He is a member of The Wildlife Society. He has had over 200 articles dealing with wildlife ecology or outdoor inspiration published in outdoor magazines and over 700 wildlife photos in magazines, books, and calendars.
