Keynote and Fireside Chat: European Commission EVP Valdis Dombrovskis

Valdis Dombrovskis, Executive Vice President at the European Commission and the EU's Trade Commissioner, spoke at the U.S. Chamber regarding key events on the global stage on the horizon in 2024. In his speech "2024: A Make-Or-Break Year for the Rules-Based International Order," he outlined some of the many challenges that democracies and the rules-based international order are facing. He called for closer transatlantic cooperation and coordination with like-minded partners to ensure we are best equipped to face the road ahead. U.S. Chamber President and CEO Suzanne P. Clark delivered welcome remarks and introduced the EVP, and U.S. Chamber Senior Vice President for Europe Marjorie Chorlins moderated a fireside chat with the EVP. The visit came on the eve of the 5th U.S.-EU Trade and Technology Council Ministerial in Washington.
