Door height adjustment. IG doors, Truedoor. Cant find the height screw?

Please read this description as I’ll probably note things here that may help you that aren’t shown in the video. I have a Truedor (only one ‘o’) front door from IG Doors and it’s fitted with what I think might be Trojan 3D hinges. The hinges are, in my opinion, about the worst hinges I’ve ever come across. Maybe somebody loves them but I don’t. There is no provision for height adjustment only height locking!! In this video I show how the adjustments work but unfortunately there is no fine screw adjustment to raise or lower the door, instead you have to manually lift the door yourself, and again, unfortunately the locking bolt that serves to lock the hight position is the same locking bolt that locks the sideways position of the door. In other words, you have to adjust two dimensions simultaneously. You’ll see in the video that there is a sprung steel cover on the back of the hinge that has to be removed to access the locking bolt. When adjusting the height of the door the locking bolt of every hinge has to be slackened to allow the door to be raised or lowered. Remember you have to lift the door yourself; the screw doesn’t do that for you, it only locks the position once you have set it! I raised the door with a bolster chisel and block of wood and then I jammed three thin bladed paint scrapers under the door, one on top of the other to hold the door at the desired heigh. The 6mm hexagon headed shaft can be accessed from above or below, you could be forgiven for thinking that they are two different adjustments like other hinges but they are both on the end of one common shaft. Adjusting the backwards and forwards position of the door is reasonably obvious but the height adjustment seems to have a lot of folks flummoxed and I must admit I had to have a hinge in my hand to work out exactly how it worked. When you adjust the side-to-side position of the door the central socket screw has to be undone enough to allow the moveable part of the mechanism to ‘click’ past the grooves and peaks of the indentations on the fixed part of the hinge. Anyway, I hope that helps someone. Kind Regards . . . Andy
