K'naan sings a version of famous patriotic song from Somalia called Qolobaa calankeedu in 2010 at First Avenue in Minneapolis. He has a couple verses about immigration. At the end of the song K'naan says: "Minnesota, be proud of your diversity. We love you for it." The song is a national anthem of Somalia. The song was originally written by Abdullahi Qarshe in 1959.
