At the moment I pay attention to any band that comes to perform in Odesa. All those who I wanted to shoot from Odesians I have already shot or they refused/refused. I stick to the position of choosing musicians based on what I like, I'm too old to do something other than what I enjoy. Death metal genre is not really in my musical preferences, I prefer black metal, but my gut didn't let me down this time. I contacted Mikola and he agreed to do the shoot pretty quickly, but because of the limited time in Odesa he accepted the offer to shoot the live in the carpet. I looked at the weather forecasts, which was getting warmer and warmer every day, and realized - we need to push for the shoot at Kuyalnik, it's time to open the season. In correspondence I explained to Mikola the plan of action and the reality of its realization, he settled this issue with his guys and the agreement was reached. Shooting started for me on the day of their concert with White Ward and Mortui Vultus (which I also plan to shoot), first I went to the carpet room and prepared all the equipment to save time, because the next day I had to get up before dawn, because at two o'clock in the afternoon the guys had to take the train. After that I went to the Mor Music Club to meet the guys and sort out the last technicalities. The next day I had to get up really early, if I don't walk my dog, no one will walk him :) Again I went to the point and started to collect a little scattered around the city guys. They were scattered not only around the city but also in general after the performance and warm post-concert party. For each stage I set a little more time and it worked perfectly, on any shoot of this scale some force majeure happens. On this one it turned out that Victoria, the vocalist of the band, had her voice blown out during the performance and had to urgently look for a pharmacy with the necessary means. From the limited time the location on Kuyalnik was chosen closer, but not less beautiful. In fact we came to a dead end, it was impossible to go further because of the water level in the reservoir. There we stopped and began to lay out the equipment. All the processes of setting up and connecting went as smoothly as possible, and the unpretentiousness of the guys provided an incredibly fast check, the drummer Peter we didn't even let him listen to what was in the mix, he listened to his native metronome ascetically and roasted in the April sun. While we were laying out, a local dog came to us and added atmosphere to the finished video.
