I65 or thorny path? - sailing 800nm from Bahamas to the lesser Antilles. It's a decision many sailors take every year when they want to sail east leaving the US or the Bahamas. Sailing from the Bahamas to the Virgin Islands or futher east is quite a quest and you can choose between to routes, the I65 or thorny path. Both the I65 or thorny path, have pro's and con's. We decided to sail the I65 but not sure if we would have been better off on the thorny path.
