Negara, West Bali. Lush tropical rain forests, fertile soil perfect for growing vegetables, and so far from the metropolis of Denpasar and the tourist income that this small village is suffering from isolation and lack of food. Covid has had a disastrous impact on all of Bali but no more than the regional villages and towns which generate a small but vital income from supplying food and resources to the international tourists. A small group of Aussies, journeyed out there to see what could be done to put some smiles on the faces of the locals. Assisted by one of their own, Ketut, from K.W Tours, we helped 25 families in extreme financial difficulties to restock their pantry with essential supplies.
