When the Collier brothers were in London after WWII they had so much fun tooling around in the sport MGs that they decided to bring a couple home, They convinced their parents to allow them to carve out a race course on their estate outside of Watkins Glen and soon they and their friends were racing these new, fun sports cars. This caught on and it outgrew the estate. They spilled over on to the streets Watkins Glen and the Sports Car Club of America was born with an enthusiastic crowd of racers and fans. PB51
