During his tenure with the group they produced their most iconic prog classics like "The Musical Box" from the album "Nursery Cryme" (1971), the 23-minute "Supper's Ready" from "Foxtrot"(1972), and arguably their best album "Selling England by the Pound" the following year. Leaving a band is like leaving a relationship - it's not easy. By the time Hackett released his first solo album, "Voyage of the of the Acolyte" in 1975 he knew, for sure, that his days in Genesis were numbered. Along with another ex-Genesis guitarist Anthony Phillips, Hackett has released the most solo album from that band. In this clip Hackett talks about what led him to lead the group and the autobiographical nature of his new album.
