Opened in 1957, the Hotel Deauville quickly became the most popular resort in North Miami Beach. Attracting the most notable guests including President Kennedy, Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland, and the Beatles, this legendary landmark has suffered at the hands of its current owners who have let it languish since they shuttered the property following an electrical fire in 2017. The Deauville 2/16/24 Initiative is run by a group of historians, authors, writers, and musicians who are offering their assistance in guiding the re-opening of the hotel and the revitalization of the Deauville District.
